Revelation Starter

Most of us know that Revelation is not at the top of the scriptural reading list for many folks. What many of us don’t know is what exactly is in the book of Revelation. For some of us, we treat it as if those pages are sealed, we don’t even bother to open that part of the bible for fear of what we might read, or anxiety that we won’t understand what we do read.

Over the next few weeks, we, as a congregation, are going to tackle this enigmatic book of the Bible. For those of you who are so inclined, there will be “homework”. It is not mandatory, but instead is meant to help you dig into the scriptures for yourselves so they are less overwhelming and more accessible.

To start, I encourage you to look up the following scripture passages and see that the contents of Revelation may be more familiar than you think. Though you might not be able to summarize the book, or maybe even any of the chapters, my guess is that you have heard and know more than you think. So, dig in!
