I started this week with Mark and Pastor Debbie teaching me to mud. (That's drywall mud). Ha! I am not a very good mudder (every pun intended) and I finally recessed to cleaning mud buckets. The next day John was patient enough to try and teach me to 'cut in' for the painters. Hmm. I discovered that I can get up on the scaffold - but I'm not really coordinated at getting back down. Ask Helen - I think I painted the top of her head. Today I am helping Linda and Diane in the kitchen. I fetch and they cook. I chop and l ey cook. I chopped a little of my finger and they made me go sit down somewhere else. Hmm. I will try to be more helpful and less clutzy. Seriously? I am having a great time. I am tired and I feel like a part of a wonderful and blessed group of people. We are working hard, but I know we are getting back much more than we could ever give.
I'm sorry that we missed Susan's sermon on Sunday. We are all coming home with great stories for next week.
